What I'm Writing Now

My current Work-In-Progress is a novel in verse. My favorite examples of this form, from Meg Eden Kuyatt, Elizabeth Acevedo, and Kwame Alexander, succeed as novels and as collections of poems. My WIP is a coming-of-age leading to resolving a mystery. It feels like a YA adventure. The main character, Sad Girl, is based in my experience but freed from fact-checking to explore plausible fiction with a gang of composite and entirely imaginary friends.
